I Want to Eat Your Pancreas is a Japanese anime film based on a novel of the same name by Yoru Sumino. The story follows a high school student named Sakura Yamauchi, who is diagnosed with pancreatic disease and given only a few months to live.

Sakura chooses to keep her illness a secret from her classmates, but one day, her classmate and loner protagonist, Haruki Shiga, discovers her secret when he finds her diary. Despite their initially strained relationship, Sakura and Haruki form an unlikely friendship, and he agrees to keep her secret.
